This year On Fleek Makeup & Wax Studio attended the Hispanic Business Expo at the Santa Rosa Fairgrounds Event Center. This Hispanic Business Expo was also a beautiful Quinceañera Fashion Show hosted by BreNotas Magazine. Our booth was located just right of the catwalk where dozens of teen girls sashayed up and back in the latest Quinceañera fashion designs. There were all different kinds of business owners in attendance from cake makers to videographers; pretty much anything a young girl could want or desire for her quinceañera was within reach at this expo. I highly recommend it for daughters and mothers to spend the day together planning out which vendors they would like to go with for the big 15.
Some of you may be wondering…what is a quinceañera? It is a celebration of a girl’s fifteenth birthday and her transition from childhood to adulthood, involving a church ceremony followed by huge party. By huge, I mean wedding status. It is a big deal for the young girl and her family. Many firsts are celebrated on this day such as her first dance, first high heels and other traditions. Traditionally, it is also the first time a young girl gets to wear makeup! Which is where I come in. I love to do quinceañera makeup, the girls are always so happy and grateful with the way their makeup turns out; especially with their beautiful gown and hair done. It is their day to truly look and feel like a princess.
